Philip Lauriat is an artistic director, conductor, voice teacher and coach with more than 30 years of experience in the music industry.
As the Artistic Director of Granite State Opera from 1998 to 2009, the Music Director of the Portsmouth Symphony from 2004 to 2008, and frequent guest conductor and stage director with various orchestras and opera companies, Philip has conducted over 100 performances and received national and international critical acclaim from publications including The Washington Post, The Boston Globe and OperaOnline. He has cast and led over forty productions.
As a Voice Teacher and Vocal Coach, Philip maintains studios in Boston, New York, and New Hampshire, with students ranging from motivated beginner to Metropolitan Opera artists. Philip studied with the great Ellen Repp, and spent 20 years as an operatic tenor and baritone, amassing onstage experience that, combined with his extensive background as a director and conductor, brings real-world experience to his professional students.
